I would say sure, but only if it's on sale. Many people say that it's bad and I don't get why. That's my favourite wd game so far, but mainly bc of the character customization and that you're in london. Cons are: Lack of really engaging story (like wd 2) and that you can't really create a character, you can only customize random people, although I love the recruit everyone thing. Imo it's a decent game, but not worth the full price.

Also Bagley is a better version of Jarvis Bagley>Jarvis

If you're not one to hate on the small stuff, it's honestly not that bad of a game. Sure, the hacking is more simple and the story isn't as good this time around but the recruitment system can be fun if you like team building, stealth and character customization. I was impressed with the dialogue as your team all talks together during gameplay and everybody has random info. Like for example, I found an Italian terrorist that was a nature activist and enjoyed hentai in his spare time lmao shit can be weird, serious or just straight chaotic. Also, the main AI assistant is probably one of my favorite characters in recent memory because of how snarky he can be. he's kind of a dick sometimes but you know deep down that he cares. Sometimes you forget he's just an ai. Anyways, for anything $30 or less, I'd say it's worth it IMO. Also, most people I've heard complain sound like they hate English and Carribean culture so if you don't have a problem with slang and accents, the dialogue can be stellar

The only issue I found with the game is that the recruitment system is pointless, because you can complete any task with any person, which to me is a bit sad. Lazy Devs obviously.

Also to complete the game with no side missions or collectibles took around 22 hours, so if you played 3 hours a day then it would take a week.

I played it on Ubisoft Plus, so was value for money as they have some other great titles on there, but purchasing it at full price, to me anyway was a no go.

Yes and it's on sale so U should get it before it goes back to 60

Many people say the storyline is plain, but I really love it. the background info from the in-game texts shows a real, dynamic story about how London has became this anarchic sh*t that private security provider is the de facto police, and how other megacorps control the people with technology. A warning to our world

Buy the game in its Ultimate Edition (or any other editon) ON SALE ONLY! The original Watch Dogs is included and tons of other goodies including DLCs. Research the details of what else is included for specifics.

I bought 'Legion[UE] digitally for $29.99(+tax) in March. Ultimate Edtions are easily $99+ of content so that discount was well worth it imo!

You COULD complete any task with anyone but It's much more challenging to do so depending on the skillsets that operative has. There's over 9 million characters to choose from.

Example- Say your mission is to infiltrate a security facility and retrieve evidence of foulplay within the company....Who will you recruit to complete that task?

General old person attributes - Farts (which alerts enemies...there goes stealth👎👎)

Mobility limitations (can't sprint/run 👎👎)

and if your lucky or do some major searching they might have a hack/skill that's actually useful

Vs

Drone Expert

Attributes - Controls various types of drones including ability to use weaponized drones and turrets against enemies, 'betraying' them

6g connection (which provides faster download speeds).....very useful when hacking and downloading useful data from enemies

Limitless range ( you can download data from greater distances without having to be within close or even medium range or what device your downloading from)

Even in 'simple tasks' having operatives with at least 3 useful diverse skillsets are majorly useful for my gameplay

Have fun! Enjoy! Don't overthink this!

The Biggest issue for me is a lack of New Game Plus. Second, that is the fact that you have to start completely over if you choose to play with friends online. Similar to Red Dead Online, you start as a fresh operative and have to earn/craft a new team from scratch (unless you paid real money for operatives through micro transactions).

Legion devs claimed they were going to release New game+ and then faded into the background with no explanation as to where that update went. I HATE THIS aspect. I love WD2 and got every trophy for it. I'm from San Fran so this was probably a little biased but the game was just amazing. WD Legion ends after you've beaten the game. There are a minor amount of quests to complete afterwards, and then there's nothing else.

Not to mention, I bought the game at release and then they came out with the ability to play as Wrench. I have to start completely over to do that. There are no alternate save slots. I would have to trash my whole team of 40 operatives to play as Wrench. It makes no sense to me.

If you don't care about that stuff, I really enjoyed the gameplay. It's easier than WD2 in my opinion, and there's less character development since every operative is just a random character. The dumped every dollar into the recruitment system, which I enjoyed, but let's not forget it has existed in other Ubisoft games (FarCry5 let's you recruit almost any character).

I give the game a 7/10 overall. First playthrough was 9/10 and then as I realized the other aspects, the score dropped. Online play was fun but my friends all bought operatives with real money, whereas I enjoyed finding operatives. So I was at a massive disadvantage in online play. Also the way you unlock operatives in online has a type of currency instead of the way it is in solo campaign.

That is probably my favourite part of Watch Dogs, mostly because (if you choose so) you can actually die and lost that character. Which makes even the most simple missions much more engaging because obviously you dont want to lose anyone. And that forces you to be careful - which builds the atmosphere for me. You know, this fantasy of being a hacker in futuristic world, you may feel like you are god among humans, but the moment you do something stupid you are dead. That feeling is additionaly boosted by swapping operatives, each one of them have a life, and when being activated the AI usually throw some sarcastic text like "you know that recruiting (to DedSec) would went much better if you would talk to other people beside that girl?" when one of my fav operatives was sitting at the bar flirting with some random girl xD.

Overall i would say the most important question is : how you feel about multiple "main" characters? Because i feel like a lot of people are disappointed because they played only as Aiden for example, and then felt disappointment because he could do much more hacking in first game. While someone who likes multiple character was playing as spy (who have some very cool gadgets), then next mission as anarchist in more open combat, and another mission as magician who would sneak around, hypnotize people and make them fight with each other.

I'd say its well worth it, if you can handle not having a main character. Of course, everyone will have their favourites, i also do. But restricting yourself to one single character would take so much fun out of the whole game. I usually swap between 4 or 5 operatives, and that makes game fun for me, because whenever i start getting bored i just swap character. Different gadget, different skills, different voice/look.

It's a huge downgrade from 1 & 2 imo, if it's dirt cheap then sure, my issue was that the main draw being you could recruit anyone sucked as I had the DLC so I just used Aiden and Wrench their the only characters with somewhat of a decent personality everyone else sounds cringey asf, also the hacking stuff is severely cut back as only certain characters have access to specific hacks. TLDR if it's really really cheap sure if not then no

If your playing on pc, you're best off trying it on ubisoft+. It's a decent game but as others have said, it's a downgrade due to a lot of the stuff you could do in others isn't there.

In my opinion, I'd say it's a solid 7/10

personally i kinda regret buying it, the mission structure is so repetitive and the VA isnt very good on almost all operatives and speaking of operatives this system completely ruins the story imo cause theres no development or anything. the gameplay is alr the gunplay is a cover shooter and kinda boring the stealth is ok still not great. i would not buy it at full price but if ur getting for like 50% off then sure go for it but if not then i say its a waste of money.

It is worth it in sale. Just go for gold edition and play whole story with Aiden.

It was okay but the main play as anyone mechanic got old fast. Imo Watch Dogs 2 was the best in the series despite some cringe dialogue. Legion isn't bad though

It's good but not great

Depends on how cheap it is, if it’s very cheap sure

I think the story is better than WD2, the sandbox is definitely diminished and the “play as anyone” gimmick is way too restrictive for absolutely no reason when it comes to weapons and vehicles. That being said, if you’re a WD/AC fan or just like dystopian near future stories(Aka Cyberpunk) it’s definitely worth playing.

Yes, too many idiots that only care about voice acting.
