Who says you'll gain any weight whatsoever from either? Consume less calories than you're burning and you'll burn fat to make the difference and lose weight. Mind you, that's a bad diet plan, but technically true.

I can never be bothered to whip the cream I just put 30% fat full creme into my coffee with 1/5th of a block of butter
