I had multiple friends/family pull out the last few weeks and I really wanted to see avatar in theatre for all the visual effects, so I talked myself into going by myself. I've never done that before and it was a positive experience that I'm proud of. What other things do you guys enjoy doing by yourself?

For our parents on here - how do you manage it all? Is it worth it?

I’ve always wanted children, and my fiancé wants children. Many of our friends have already had children, but their child care struggles and juggling work/life appears very stressful, and makes us worried about it for ourselves. In the US - parenthood seems so hard nowadays. How do you manage it all? Is it all worth it? Maybe some parenting hacks/tips on here can be shared.

Does anyone else feel physically sick when they hear ASMR?

I keep blocking everyone on my For you page that i come across doing ASMR, the sounds make me feel physically sick and wanna vomit? Does anyone else have this problem? I don’t know why it brothers me i know it shouldn’t. If anyone also have suggestion on completely blocking it on tiktok im all ears please.

Just Chatting

I streamlined my work using Excel and my job has gotten significantly easier.

I work in an office where I am the youngest by a good 25 years. Everything that was done before me was done the old-fashioned way. Hard copies, calculators, the works. Every month, I have to complete a billing report. My supervisor taught me how to complete it. It took me roughly 2 days to finish the report even with overtime. After I realized that most of the report had the same answers written in various spots, I created an in-depth excel spreadsheet that will calculate the work for me. I only need to get the information to calculate and plug it in, and boom! The whole report is updated. I started on the billing this morning and finished it within 2 hours. I didn’t rush either. Just really proud of myself and wanted to share.

Anyone else have a similar experience they’d like to share? :)

Edit: wow, I didn’t expect so many replies! Thank you all for your feedback. I might have just found a new skill that could develop into a career after reading the comments. I appreciate each one of you!

Celebration

I’m so excited and have no one to tell

Today I got married!! My husband and I have been together for 5 years and today we got married. We can’t tell our family yet because they’re all seriously looking forward to the big ceremony and reception (that we still plan on having) so much that if we told them that we got married and they weren’t there, it would be a whole song and dance.

My husband and I are more private than the rest of our family so we wanted to do something small and meaningful just for us before the full production we have to put together. I’m beside myself with joy but don’t really have anyone to gush to since we’re new in town, too.

Today has been incredible and I’m so thankful for the love my husband and I have. Am I wrong for not telling anyone though? I have some friends that I still keep in touch with but I’m not sure if I should just stay completely quiet about it until our big ceremony. What would you do in this situation?
